4th of July in Lahaina
LahainaTown Action Committee and the County of Maui Mayor’s Office of Economic Development are thrilled to announce that the 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular will return to West Maui this 4th of July after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I along with the entire LAC board are ecstatic to bring this event back. The July Fourth celebration has been a great economic driver for Lahaina Town and is a time-honored tradition enjoyed by both the community and visitors alike,” says Sne Patel, LahainaTown Action Committee Board President, “We mahalo the Mayor’s Office, the Office of Economic Development and the Maui Police and Fire Departments for making this come-back possible. We are so grateful to the businesses who have stepped up with financial contributions after surviving the economic hardships of the pandemic.”
All are invited to stroll historic Lahaina and enjoy the holiday specials in many oceanfront restaurants and town shops. Enjoy live music in Campbell Park and a classic car show by Maui Classic Cruisers along the banyan tree. A fireworks display lighting the night sky over Lahaina is scheduled for 8:00pm from a barge offshore of Front Street. Fireworks can be viewed from charter boats in Lahaina Harbor and on land throughout Lahaina Town.
Live music in Campbell Park begins at 5:00pm and is sponsored by Lahaina Restoration Foundation and Lahaina Rotary Clubs featuring the Chop Suey Jazz Orchestra, Na Alii Big Band, and the Maui Community Band.
There will be no parking on Front Street on Monday July 4th from 2:30pm to 8:30pm from Papalua Street to Prison Street. Front Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
