DESCRIPTION:Event Details: 20th Annual Lahaina Town Cleanup\nRegistration Location: Lahaina Cannery roadside/mauka facing into the Starbucks entrance\nCleanup: From Olowalu to Napili from the beach to the Highway and up Lahainaluna Road *no admittance to closed fire-impacted areas\nDate: Saturday\, September 28th\, 2024\nTime: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM \n– Free Event Tee-Shirt for First 200 Volunteers Sponsored by Paradise Lahaina\n– Water Refill Station Sponsored by Tropic Water\n– Music Sponsored by DJ Ron \nThe 20th Annual Lahaina Town Cleanup in conjunction with the Ocean Conservancy’s International Coastal Cleanup and Malama Maui Nui’s “Get the Drift and Bag It!” campaign is an opportunity for residents and visitors alike to join in a global effort to remove litter and debris from our coastal environment. \nInternational Coastal Cleanup®\nHarnessing the Power of People to Fight Ocean Trash\nIn partnership with volunteer organizations and individuals around the globe\, the International Coastal Cleanup® (ICC) engages people to remove trash from the world’s beaches and waterways. Thanks to millions of volunteers around the world\, the ICC has become a beacon of hope\, leading and inspiring action in support of our ocean. Since its beginning\, more than 17 million volunteers have collected more than 350 million pounds of trash. \n#SeaTheChange at the 2024 International Coastal Cleanup\nPlastic pollution is a massive problem for our ocean\, but even small actions can make a big difference. Every bottle\, every straw\, every piece of trash you clean up can lead to a cleaner\, healthier ocean. Join us this season to clean up your local beach\, stream\, park or neighborhood. When we clean up our home\, all those that live in the ocean can #SeaTheChange. \nBy participating in the 20th Annual Lahaina Town Cleanup\, you can make a difference\, right here in your own community. \nDon’t forget to bring a reusable water bottle\, gloves\, reef safe sunscreen and Aloha! \nOver the past 20 years thousands of volunteers have come together to help clean up over 7 square miles of Lahaina Town from the beach to the highway\, including two boat harbors\, 7 surf spots\, and numerous parks with divers\, students\, parents\, and volunteers in the largest longest ongoing Town Clean Up we know of in Hawaii. \nDONATE TO SUPPORT ANNUAL CLEANUP
