The Nä Kamehameha Commemorative Pä‘ü Parade & Ho’olaule’a Planning Committee would like to warmly invite you, to commemorate and celebrate our ali’i. This year we will be joining in on O‘ahu’s 100
year anniversary, honoring Kamehameha through the theme: “Ka Puni ‘Ana O Ka Haneli Makahiki.”

We are excited to announce that we will be bringing the parade entry judging back. So please observe the rules and judging criteria closely.

The parade will take place on Saturday, June 18 at 9:45am on Front Street. It will start from Kenui St. and proceed South toward Shaw St. The ho’olaule’a will open at 9am at Keawaiki, Lahaina Banyan Tree
Park. Festivities to include exhibits, a parade and parade and pä‘ü awards presentation, food booths by non-profits, Maui made crafters and local entertainment. On Sunday, the festivities continue from 9am – 4pm

One of the Planning Committees goals is to build and gather community. It is through this parade and ho’olaule’a that we create a venue to not only to honor our ali’i but to educate as well. By doing this, we keep all that they have done for us alive.

Attached is the 2016 application for parade participation. We have six stations for commentary, a great way to showcase your organization and make announcements for upcoming events or to promote your organization. Deadline to apply is Friday May 27, 2016.
